Heather@ColoradoKids.org

Heather is the President and CEO at the Colorado Children’s Campaign, where she leads statewide efforts to ensure every child in Colorado has the opportunity to thrive. She brings decades of experience in public policy, early childhood systems, and nonprofit leadership to the organization.

Before joining the Colorado Children’s Campaign in 2023, Heather served as the Executive Director of Parent Possible, where she led efforts to strengthen and expand evidence‑based home visiting programs that support caregivers and promote early childhood development. Prior to that role, she was Vice President of Quality Programs at Qualistar Colorado and served as Colorado’s Head Start State Collaboration Director in the Office of Lt. Governor Joe Garcia, deepening her expertise in early childhood systems and the connections between early learning and long‑term family economic stability. Heather’s commitment to early childhood leadership includes completing the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Fellowship, where she explored two‑generation approaches to disrupting intergenerational poverty. Her leadership and impact were recognized statewide when she was named one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Business by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce in 2024 and recognized with an Alumni Leadership Award from the University of Colorado Denver in 2025.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in administration, leadership, and policy studies from the University of Colorado Denver. Heather is passionate about ending poverty in Colorado and believes deeply in the power of sound public policy to create healthy children, strong families, and thriving communities.
