Heather Tritten serves as President and CEO of the Colorado Children’s Campaign, where she leads with a clear vision and deep commitment to ensuring every child in Colorado has the opportunity to thrive. With a strong belief that sound public policy is the foundation for healthy children, strong families, and vibrant communities, Heather brings decades of leadership and advocacy experience to the role.

Originally from Michigan, Heather began her career in Utah, where she discovered the transformative power of policy advocacy. Her early work focused on expanding funding for affordable housing, strengthening renters’ rights, and ultimately leading an anti-poverty nonprofit. These experiences ignited her lifelong dedication to social justice and systems change.

In 2011, Heather moved to Colorado to serve as the Head Start State Collaboration Director under Lt. Governor Joe Garcia. There, she deepened her understanding of early childhood systems and became a champion for early childhood programs as a powerful tool to disrupt intergenerational poverty. Her leadership journey continued at Qualistar Colorado as Vice President of Quality Programs, and as a Fellow in the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program, where she explored two-generation strategies to end poverty.

Heather later served as Executive Director of Parent Possible, leading efforts to strengthen evidence-based home visiting programs. In 2023, she joined the Colorado Children’s Campaign, bringing her wealth of experience and vision to the forefront of child advocacy in the state.

In recognition of her impact, Heather was named one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Business” by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce in 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in Administration, Leadership, and Policy Studies from the University of Colorado Denver.
