Child care is the foundation of our communities, but it is not treated as such. In Colorado, funding is the central obstacle that keeps us from making child care, and caregiving more broadly, a public good. Colorado’s inequitable, broken tax code – the foundation for all state funding – is in desperate need of reform to fully fund caregiving statewide. We are working to make changes that honor caregiving and support Colorado’s families and caregivers. Please join us in April as we reimagine how we fund care in Colorado.
