Housing insecurity generates many stressors and challenges for families. Frequent moves or living in overcrowded or poor-quality housing can affect children’s well-being and development and parents’ mental health. Next week, Colorado Housing Connects is offering virtual affordable housing workshops for Coloradans navigating eviction, rent support, basic needs assistance, mediation, and crisis budget planning in Denver and Adams counties.

Throughout the pandemic, households with children have consistently been more likely to report being behind on housing payments or having little or no confidence in their ability to make next month’s payment. Families who rent their housing have been hit particularly hard by the economic fallout of COVID-19. We encourage you to share Colorado Housing Connects’ resources with those you may know navigating financial and housing insecurity.
