Health insurance is critical to both the well-being of Colorado children and the economic security of their families. In fiscal year 2021-2022, Medicaid covered 47% of our state’s children. Together, Medicaid and the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) insure a significant portion of Colorado children each year who might not have access to health insurance otherwise. To see the share of children enrolled in Medicaid in your county, please visit the KIDS COUNT Data Center.
