A new analysis from the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center has found that Colorado is the top state in the nation when it comes to increasing resources and support for families with young children. Their new report, titled 5 Years of Progress on the State Policy Roadmap, found that Colorado is one of just 10 states that are implementing all four of their effective Roadmap policies.

“Colorado’s leadership in supporting families with young children demonstrates the power of bold, innovative policies that lead to systems change,” said Heather Tritten, President and CEO of the Colorado Children’s Campaign.  “We all should be proud of our collective work to raise Colorado up as a top state for young kids and families. As we approach the 2025 Legislative Session, policymakers must protect and build upon these hard-earned gains to ensure Colorado remains the best place to raise a child and the gold standard for progress.”

The Colorado Children’s Campaign will continue to advocate strongly for policies and programs that impact kids and families, especially in the face of budgetary uncertainty for the state. We will work with policymakers on both sides of the aisle this upcoming legislative session to build on these successes, develop creative solutions, and find a way to not balance the state budget at the expense of kids and families. Let’s keep Colorado as the best place to be a kid!
