Health insurance is critical to both the well-being of Colorado children and the economic security of their families. In fiscal year 2021-22, the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) covered 3.8% of our state’s children. Together, Medicaid and CHP+ insure nearly half of all Colorado children, many of whom might not have had access to health insurance otherwise. To see the share of children enrolled in CHP+ in your county, please visit the KIDS COUNT Data Center.
