The official poverty rate in Colorado dropped in 2022 – but the end of pandemic-era protections is affecting Colorado families’ financial stability
Among Colorado children under the age of 18, the poverty rate fell from 11.8% to 11.1%, which translates to 144,882 children in 2021 and 133,463 children experiencing poverty in 2022.
