Support SB26-180 to ensure that Colorado’s children and families can access and afford the high quality child care they deserve.
In Colorado, child care is both unaffordable and unavailable. Colorado is one of the most expensive states in the nation for child care, costing families nearly $20,000 a year for center-based care for infants and toddlers. Even if families can pay for care, the majority of Coloradans live in child care deserts where it is impossible to find an available provider.
It doesn’t need to be this way. Child care can and should be affordable!
Every dollar we invest in child care pays off: children who attend high quality child care and preschool programs have higher graduation rates, higher earning potential, and better socioemotional outcomes. Providing parents with the opportunity to work could generate over $2 billion in potential revenue for our economy. Child care is the smart investment!
Take Action:
Tell your legislators to make child care more affordable in Colorado by supporting SB26-180. This bill will generate funding needed to provide more Colorado families with the high quality child care their kids deserve.
