Inform the development of Colorado’s Healthy School Meals for All program

Hunger Free Colorado is seeking input to inform the development of Colorado’s Healthy School Meals for All program. This is an excellent opportunity to weigh in, share what you value about school meals, and make recommendations.  

Colorado voters approved Proposition FF to create the Healthy School Meals for All (HSMA) program, which will reimburse school districts for providing free meals to all students in Colorado, last fall. Children were particularly likely to experience food insecurity during the disruptions of COVID-19 – and when temporary pandemic aid made all school meals free during the first years of the pandemic, Colorado school districts saw as many as 40% more children eating school meals.
