There are 750,000 people in Colorado who have no health insurance, and 159,000 of these are children. We believe that all children deserve access to high-quality health care.
The Colorado Children's Campaign was instrumental in creating the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), in passing the tobacco tax initiative that will put $172 million into programs including expanding access to CHP+ and school-based clinics, and we will continue to advocate for cost effective ways to provide access to high-quality health care.

- Children's Health Care Cost Simulation Model, December 2008
Barbara Ladon, Jonathan Harner and Tracy Johnson of Arpegio Health prepared this report as part of the Children’s Campaign effort to develop an interactive cost model of children’s health coverage in Colorado. The model will help people consider changes to existing programs and the addition of new services. It will enable comparisons of the costs and numbers of children served under various policy proposals, including adjustments to eligibility criteria. This report provides important background information on existing programs, services and funding for those programs. It also provides recommendations for immediate policy actions that can improve health outcomes for children and lead to an improved policy structure. These include ensuring students receive 12 months of continuous coverage under programs and including a comprehensive package of services as the minimum level of care for all covered children.
- All Kids Covered 2010 Initiative The Colorado Children’s Campaign is a lead partner in the All Kids Covered 2010 Initiative, a group of committed organizations working together to ensure quality affordable health coverage for all children in Colorado.
