The Colorado Children's Campaign was established in 1985 as a statewide nonprofit organization. Since then, we have been the leading bi-partisan voice for children from the state capitol to communities across the state, focusing on expanding access to quality healthcare, early childhood experiences and K-12 education.
For every $1 we spend on public engagement and advocacy, $10 of public money is channeled to direct service programs for children. Our independence, evidence-based proposals and grassroots connections make us the state's trusted leader on children's health, education and early childhood education.
How are we effective? For starters, we:
- Represent the needs of children at the state capitol
- Build public awareness about key issues
- Gather and analyze data to support local needs and coordinate a statewide grassroots advocacy network to influence legislative decisions
- Develop coalitions of diverse groups and help them create a shared vision
To the Colorado Children's Campaign, effective advocacy is the sum of these strengths. The Children's Campaign believes this unique approach is critical to achieving the best outcomes for Colorado's more than one million children.
MISSION: The Colorado Children's campaign works to create hope and opportunity in Colorado, more than one million kids at a time.
